Day trip to Bury Markets – New Make-Up From Mum

Hello Lovelies,

A couple of weeks ago I went to Bury Markets.

My mum lives in sheltered accommodation for people over the age of 55 and every now and again I go on these trips that they organise to keep her company.

I’d heard so many great things about Bury Markets people said that it was really cheap to shop there and had been meaning to go and check them out for awhile I lived In Manchester but never got around to it so I thought I’d go with my mum on this trip and keep her company….

It’s weird how in all the years that I lived in Manchester I didn’t go to Bury Markets as it’s just a tram away and I move back to Preston and then I go.

Life sure is funny sometimes isn’t it?.

It was a lovely day out we had a look around the markets my mum bought me some new make-up from one of the stands I could not believe how cheap it was

Here are the items my lovely mum bought for me 💕

The whole reason I have delayed writing this post is I wanted to try this Look Flawless Fix BB. I was very sceptical when I got this because it was a mere £1.99.

I have done a little research though and since found out that it was sold on the high street for £9.99.

With summer Just around the corner I wanted to try something lighter on my skin then a full coverage foundation so when I saw this at that price (£1.99) I just had to try it.

I’ve tried some BB creams in the past and to be honest I didn’t really like them but this one feels different it’s very buildable without your skin looking cakey.

I found it does what it says it makes your skin look Flawless and fixes any Imperfections. It feels so light on the skin so it’s Ideal for the Warmer Months too.

Here is what it says it does Clear enough to cover anything your face throws at you, but natural enough to let your skin shine and I would actually agree with that….

I got the colour in Shade 1 and this is a perfect match for me as I am so fair.

I think there were only 3 shades Fair shade 1, Medium shade 2 and dark shade 3

In summary I have used this most days since I got it 3 weeks ago and I would recommend it to anyone who would like to try a lighter coverage foundation I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Another Perk to this Look Flawless Fix BB Cream is it has 40ml Rather then the average 30ml so it will last that little bit longer.

These Shining Star compacts by the brand Famous are so cute with the Leopard Print Compacts  My favourite has to be the shimmer brick.

I wanted to get a really good Shimmer Brick Compact for awhile now Bobbi Brown do a really nice one but there quite expensive.

Here is the link for the Bobbi Brown One I have seen and it looks so Similar to the Famous one that my mum bought for me–Rose

I was really pleased when I saw this Shimmer brick as the you get a really nice hilighter in the photo the lightest colour looks really Pink Rather then a really nice Pearly Hi-light.

you can either swirl your Blush Brush in the rest of the shimmer brick or use the colours that are in the shimmer brick individually. It’s definitely going to be worn a lot over the summer as it will give me a nice glow.

This is called Shining Star shimmer brick in the colour Mariah Shimmer it’s by the brand Famous and you get 7.5g of Product.

It says be a radiant star by applying to cheek bones or a light dusting all over.

This is another product I have been using a lot I’ve been using it with the Look Flawless Fix BB Cream I just love the way it makes my skin looks it just glows when I wear this and the flawless fix.

This Packaging for this Compact Is Simply Stunning I actually prefer the Packaging On this Blusher to the Packaging on the shimmer brick.

There both nice but the Packaging for the First Date Blush is a little bit nicer. ( I know cute name too right. ) Anyone that knows me well knows that I love the colour Pink this is why I am drawn to this Packaging more this compact looks Red I know.

The packaging is a lovely Fuscia Pink with grey leopard print On the front. I didn’t realise it at the time because they had no Testers open for this Blusher how Pink it would be. I should have realised with it being in a Fuscia coloured compact. A little of this blusher definitely goes a long way so you do need to use it Sparingly.

The first time I used it I put way too much on. I’ve only used it once or twice so I can’t really give a full review on it just yet but watch this space…

So this lovely blusher has been named a first date blusher

I guess so you will make an impression just be sure not to go over the top with it as it’s SUPER PIGMENTED…..

The colour of the blush is in Charlize.

It says get that sexy demour first date blush.

Look how pigmented this first date blush is in Charlise it looks very red on this photo I can assure you it’s not It’s just very pink. It’s a lovely colour for the summer and if you want to dress to impress then this is the blusher to wear

The Mascara in this photo photo was such a good buy I love NYC and I had never heard of this particular Mascara before it was only £1 at that price I just had to buy it and see if it did what it actually says and I was actually AMAZED at the RESULTS. My Eye Lashes looked Longer and the Mascara Did indeed Curl my Lashes. I’ve not stopped using it since I got it

I love the brush on this mascara too and the colour not only is it Black it’s Carbon Black 846.

If your looking for a budget mascara that will give you both volume and curl your lashes this might be the one I’m not sure if Superdrug sells this anymore if not I’m sure ebay will.

I saw this lip gloss and I just had to get it I’m loving my Reds even more then my Nude colours at the moment. My sister says that I suit Nude coloured lips Better then I do Red Lips. I disagree what is the point of being a Wallflower. If I have learnt anything this last year is that LIFE is just TOO SHORT. If I want to wear Red Lipstick Then I will go ahead and wear Red. That’s the little REBEL in me coming out…

I saw these lipsticks in Boots awhile back and kept meaning to see if they were any good for whatever reason I never got around to picking any of them up and then I saw that they had a couple in this colour on the Market. This was the dearest item I got I think it was around £3.50 but so worth it as the colour is gorgeous and you would not get them as cheap as that on the highstreet.

I’m not sure what L’oreal  called these lipsticks all I know is that they are made by L’oreal and the colour of the Lip gloss is 301 Rouge Soprano. It has a lovely sponge dough foot applicator that feels really nice and soft when you are applying this lip gloss to your lips.

It’s not a Lip gloss you can wear every day but if you want to feel Extra Special And Glamorous this is a good Lip Gloss to have in your Make -Up Drawer.

I have been wearing this colour a lot with the Flawless Fix BB Cream and Shimmer Brick It’s a Stunning Colour. I was a little bit Disappointed though a few days after I had been wearing it I was looking at it to see if I could find the name of the Lip gloss and it had a little bit of Cellophane That said Tester On it I was not a Happy Bunny…. No one had used it though only me and it’s great value for money so I can’t complain.

Last but certainly not least is the W7 Chunky Cheeks Blush Stick I’m really loving W7 make-up at the moment it’s great if your on a budget like I am. I have only used this Chunky Cheeks Blush Stick twice but I really do like it. The Colour Is Stunning a really nice girly pink. Perfect For Summer.

The Colour of this w7 Chunky Cheeks blush stick is Tokyo.

If you have read all of this post thank you so much for that I get carried away when talking about make-up

Hope you are all okay and that you had a wonderful weekend be nice to hear if you have bought any bargains . It’s so nice to hear from you….

I’d like to thank my lovely Mum for buying me this lovely Make-Up she spoils me rotten

My Blog T-shirt

Hello Lovelies,

I thought I would do something a bit different today I’ve not done any OOTD Posts so far and thought why not do that.

I got this t-shirt 2-3 years ago when I thought about doing a blog (this is something I’ve wanted to do for such a long time) Your support means so much to me so if you have followed my blog thankyou so much.

This is now my third attempt of doing a blog and I guess the timing for me was just right I have got more time on my hands to focus on my blog which I never had before. I’m loving getting your lovely comments by the way thank you so much for them,,,,

The t-shirt I got from Next I think it was about £10 at the time and I liked it because it said I’m kind of a big deal on my blog.

I was looking through my wardrobe today for something to wear and thought it would make an interesting blog post.

The weather has been nicer so I thought I would team it with my mint green jeans another favourite item it’s the first time I have worn them since they were bought last year and then put a light beige cardigan over the top.

IMG_0707 - Edited

I’ve not really bought anything for the summer yet the weather in the UK is so up and down one minute it can be really nice and then it’s raining so you never really know how to dress.

Have you bought anything for the nice weather?

What fashions are you loving at the moment?

What I got from Blackpool 💕

Hello Lovelies,

On Saturday it was such a nice day mum and I decided to take ourselves off to Blackpool for the day . It was so lovely to just get away from everything even if it was just for a few hours.

While I was in Blackpool I did pick up a couple of things which is quite a touristy thing to do 💕.

While on the pier I saw this gorgeous shop and literally everything in there was hand crafted made out of shells it really is a quaint shop.

I’m not sure of the name of the shop now but you should definitely check it out if your in the area and it’s the only shop on the Pier that sells shells so you will find it.

I love shells so much I have done every since I was a little girl I used to think those shells that you can buy that are ornaments that you hold up to your ear and can hear the sea were the coolest thing. I still do… 💕.

Inside the shop was more of a treasure trove then the outside they had ornaments made out of shells they were just so cool. They sold a really nice Owl one I absolutely love Owls I did  contemplate on buying it  but decided on getting a basket of shells instead  When I lived in my old house I had some shells similar to these and I loved them so much these are actually nicer I love the   cute red star and they were only £2 which is really cheap.

I wanted something for my coffee table and thought that these shells would look perfect on there.

The ornaments from the shop were £5 I think and they had Owls made out of shells and Blackpool towers made out of shells and they had glitter on too they were made to show you what Blackpool Tower looks like at night all lit up.  They were so pretty and it’s a nice present for someone too.

I didn’t get this Owl in the shop I actually got it from Poundland which is becoming my favourite place to shop. Just look at     her she is super cute but she is the Owl with no name. What shall we call her readers?

I’d like her to have a really fun name and I’m not very Imaginative when It comes to names.   I wanted a fridge magnet important things that I need to remember like my appointments I like to put on my fridge but I’ve  broken one or two magnets of late so My mum bought me this cute Ice Cream Cone. I love it. I really should have a memo  board in the kitchen.  I just had to take a photo of this little shack on the Pier to show you it’s so cute.

It’s a coffee bar I just love that it says choc-a-holic on it reminds me of myself.

It’s a nice day lets go to Blackpool ☀️

Hello Lovelies,

On Saturday the weather was just too beautiful so my mum and I decided at the very last minute to jump on a bus to go to Blackpool👌.

I’ve not been to Blackpool in the spring/summer for many years and it was such a great idea to just get away for a few hours it took my mind of things and just left me feeling more positive about the future.

Blackpool is only an hour away by bus from where I live but the sun was out my mum and I  were strolling on the sea front like we hadn’t got a care in the world👏. It felt like we were on holiday rather then just an hour away from home it was lovely.

I went a bit mad whilst I was taking photos I’ll insert the best ones down below and introduce you guys to my mum who has just been my rock over this last year 👏.

I was actually under this wheel whilst I was taking this photo and It looked huge when I was looking up at It trying to take the photo. I wanted a perfect photo of this wheel that captures it at it’s best so It took a few shots.

I think this shot of the wheel captures it at it’s best you get a glimpse of the beach and the pier I think it’s nice or it would be if that b&m carrier bag was not in shot. sorry about that but it was a really sunny day and I could barely see what I was taking photos of. I don’t think I did too bad a job as all the photos were taken with my iphone.

I took a photo of this hook a duck stand as it reminds me of my childhood. I never really liked rides growing up that was always my older sisters thing so when my mum took us to the fair at Easter she would give my sister money for rides and me money for Hook – A- Duck. I always ended up coming home with a prize sometimes goldfish which I don’t think made my mums day.

This ride out of all the rides looked like a lot of fun that and they had my favourite ride the Waltzer  which I did think about going on but I’d have to go by myself which I didn’t really want to do👎.

Here we are mother and daughter posing for a selfie  squinting away  because the sun was too bright. This woman has done so much for me over this last year and I really don’t know how I would have coped if she hadn’t been around my life is definitely better for having her in it.

The famous landmark you know you have arrived in Blackpool when you see Blackpool Tower👏.

Since I was taking photos of landmarks I thought I’d take a few snaps of the Beach.

Love this one where the Sun is hitting the water.

I do have a few other Photos to share with you guys but it would only let me share 10 photos at a time.

I bought a few nick knacks quite a touristy thing to do but I had to bring a little piece of Blackpool home with me that will be the next post that goes up.

When it comes to taking photos I take so many of the same shot so I can decide which I like the best.

I like to have a choice.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

What did you do this weekend?

What’s in my make Up bag 💄💋

Hello beauties 💕,
Hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend 👏.
I’m quite poorly myself with a really bad throat infection and nasty cold 👎.

I’m actually writing this post from my bed 😳.

What are you all up to this weekend I’d love to hear your plans 👏🏻.
Now onto the actual post itself. What’s in my make up bag here we go.

I absolutely love this bag I use it for make up to carry all my Essentials in but you can use it to put anything you like in it .

I am loving Rose Gold at the moment. and love the fact that it says J’adore on it. That just makes it look so much cuter.

When I first saw these bags it comes with a smaller bag that says Bonjour which is also adorable. I said to myself it’s not something you need but then they went down on sale in Primark and they were only £2

I just had to pick up a set of these bags at those price. I know I have the Zoella Make-up bag but this one fits in my handbag really great and is flat I use the Zoella make up bag at home and that’s on my vanity table.

These are the products I have been using on my face for the base I tend to switch my foundation up a lot we will talk about that in a minute.

I Always Always use a Primer  this for me is an essential to my make up routine. some people can get away with not using Primer unfortunately I am not one of them I suffer with a little oily skin especially round my t-zone and large pores so it helps even out my skin before the foundation goes on. I put my daily moisturiser on first and then I will use my Primer. I am going to do a separate post about my skin care routine.

1. Avon Magix Face Perfecter – I am coming to the end of this Primer now I’ve had it such a long time roughly I would say about 6 months. I saw it in the Avon on special offer for £5 and I was running out of my holy grail Primer which I think most people have tried when I run out of this one I’ll have to go to boots and get some more it’s the Revlon Photo Ready Perfecting Primer This retail at £11.99. At the time I thought I would see if this Avon was better then Revlon. I’m sorry Avon it does not compare this is only my opinion but I prefer the Revlon Primer. Normal price for this Avon Primer is £10.00 I believe which is still cheaper then Revlon and you do get a little more product with the Avon Magix Face Perfector you get 30ML and Revlon Photo Ready you get 27ML so it’s just 3ML difference. I would buy Avon Magix Face Perfctor again but only if it was on this special offer of £5. I think if I hadn’t tried Revlon Photo Ready I would probably love this Avon Magix but my Preference is the Revlon Photo ready It’s my holy grail Primer. (sorry about that it turned into a mini review)

2. L’oreal Mat Magique –  This foundation is quite a recent purchase I like to switch my foundations up and see what sits better on my skin. I had never tried any foundations that were Matte. Surprising I know since I do suffer with oily skin. I was in B&M bargains when I saw this for a mere £3.00 . I was very impressed I love B&M bargains for this they get brands like L’oreal and Rimmel all the time and can sell them much cheaper then Boots and Superdrug because normally they have come from another country. You can normally tell by the packaging. Like on this foundation you can tell it’s come from France so they sell it at half the price. I’d never seen this particular foundation before in Boots or Superdrug. I’m not sure if was ever sold in the UK. I am going to do a separate post on a review on this foundation as I do really like it and have quite a few things to say about it.

3. Maybeline Eraser Eye Concealer – This is another item that has become an holy grail item in my make-up collection. I absolutely love this and will re-purchase it over and over. I can’t remember exactly how long I have had this one for but it’s been a long time. well over a year. so it’s definitely been worth the money. It’s £7,99 for 6ML. This works on my under eye circles so well and If you have read any of my blog you will know my sleeping patterns are so erratic at the moment so this product is like my best friend always there when you need it 👏🏻.

4. Stay Matte Powder Translucent Powder – How I ever got by without this powder in my life I will never know another holy grail. This is just one of those products that most Beauty Gurus use because it’s that good. There are some more expensive powders on the market that don’t work as well as this. This is the reason why everyone keeps buying this product over and over and I’m no exception.

  5. Bourjois Bronzer and Highlighter duo – I got this for my birthday in February I really like the Bronzer I’m not so sure about the Highlighter though I’ll have to use that a little bit more then I have been doing I have been reaching more for my Dior Highlighter which I’ll talk about in a minute.  6. Dior shimmer powder 001 in Rose Diamond – This product is another really old product I have only just rediscovered it again in my make-up collection and I love absolutely love it. I have been using it a lot lately both the Highlighter at the front and then I swirl my blush brush for a nice pink blush. I will have to give the Bourjois Highlighter a chance though and use it a little more then I have and give a review on that.  7. MUA Luxe Eyebrow and Highlighter Pencil – This is another Item that I have re-discovered I ran out of my favourite Avon Brow Definer Pencil and I saw that I had this in my drawer. When I first bought this MUA Eyebrow and Highlighter Pencil I have to admit I was not happy I’d gone into town to pick up a few things and thought this looked like a really nice product I got it home and was just about to use it and half the pencil fell into the cap 👎.

It would have cost me more in bus fair to take it back to Superdrug and I decided to keep it for the highlighter which is pretty good. I was looking at this pencil again recently and saw that there was still quite a bit of product left in  the Pencil so I am glad I did keep it. other then that there really isn’t anything bad I can say about this product it’s definitely worth the money £3.00 as you get a highlighter to use as well.

8, NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Leopard – I am a huge fan of NYX Make-Up there aren’t a lot of places where you can buy it though in the UK and it’s even worse now I have moved back to my home town 👎

I re-discovered this gorgeous NYX Eye Pencil in the colour Leopard which is a nice golden brown with hints of glitter running through it the photo isn’t showing how nice it is really. I should have sharpened it before I took the photo. (note to self) . I have only just started using this again and I love these pencils when you have limited time and you just need to get out and don’t have time to do your eye make-up  it just makes things that much easier or you can choose to put it over an eye shadow of a similar colour and it makes the shadow pop. very stunning.
9. Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner – Black – I am in love with this eye liner I got it when in was on sale for £3.00 something i never do with the Avon is pay full price because a fortnight later certain things will be half price and this eye liner is always half price. The Intensity of  colour of this eye liner is AMAZING (another holy grail item) This is the eye liner I reach for over and over. It reminds me a lot of the Urban Decay 24/7 eye liners but in my opinion this Avon one is so much better in a future blog post I will show you the comparison and you can see what I mean.

  10. Number 7 Lash Brush – This brush is so old I don’t use it for my lashes I use it to brush my eyebrows out before and after I have pencilled them in to give them a more groomed look.

11. NYC City Curls Mascara Carbon Black 846 – I’m not spending a lot on make-up at the moment I’m on a budget but I was in the pound store and came across this mascara and thought I would give it a try. I think the brand NYC is a really good brand and it’s really good value for money too. I’ve been using this constantly I love it and for £1.00 it really is a bargain.

  12. Romantic Bear Lip Balm – This was bought on ebay for 99p it came from China and took about 4 weeks to arrive. It reminded me of the eos lip balm and the Balmi lip balms but they are more expensive so I thought I would give this a try and it’s actually quite good.

13. W7 Lip Paint in Lady Luck – Another item bought from the pound store .

seriously what would I do without that store. A lot of brands are doing these Lip Paints now. Make- Up Revolution, Too Faced The list really goes on. The Too faced ones do look pretty AMAZING. Has any one tried them yet?

These W7 Lip Paints are better then I first anticipated I don’t know why but I never think W7 is going to be that good but every single time I get something from the brand It never lets me down👏🏻.

When using these Lip Paints you will need to use a lip balm because they do stain your lips quite bad.

 14. Chanel Pencil Sharpener – I got this such a long time ago for my birthday one year of my sister in law with a lovely neutral Chanel Lip Gloss and she got me a matching LIp Pencil and the Chanel Pencil sharpener came with that. My favourite brand is Chanel so I was happy when I came across this again.

Also in my make-up bag I have put these 2 samples of foundations that I want to try. I love BB Creams. I have never heard of this Rimmel BB Cream Radiance 9 in 1 Skin Perfecting Make-Up. This is what it claims to do.

1. Primes (so you won’t need to use) Primer.

2. Smoothes.

3. Conceals.

4. Helps minimise the appearance of pores.

5. Provides Natural looking coverage (so would not be full coverage)

6. Moisturises for 24 hours

7. Awakens tired skin

8. Brightens the skin with vitamin c and

9. Gives a radiant finish

This foundation also has SPF 20 .

I am really looking forward to trying this sample around this time of the year when it gets warmer I like to try BB Creams or tinted moisturisers and let my skin breathe a little bit better then it does with full coverage foundation. I will try this sample out in the next few days and give my thoughts on it and let you know what it actually does if it does everything that it claims to do.

I’ve been seeing the TV Advertisements for this Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation for awhile and thought it looked really nice and thought to myself I’d like to try it before I buy it and then I bought a magazine this months Glamour Magazine and both samples were in there Rimmel and Maybelline.

I personally think the shade of this Maybelline one is far too dark for me which is a shame as I am so fair. I can still try it and see what it feels like on the skin though as it claims to feel like Second Skin so I will try this out and give you my thoughts on this one as well. I’ll probably do a review on both products together and let you know which one I thought was the best.

Have you tried either of these foundations yet?

What are your thoughts I’d love to hear them.

Another nomination for the Liebster Award from Life with B

Hello Lovelies,

I received another nomination for The Liebster Awards which was very unexpected and so lovely .

I only started my blog 4 weeks ago so for it to get recognised already gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside👌🏻.

As I have already nominated 11 people for this award I won’t do that part again I found it hard enough the first time around 😀.

I would like to take the time to answer Life with B questions though as it will give my readers the chance to get to know me not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

Thanks Life with B for the nomination –

I hope you decide it’s a good thing.

Some of these questions may be similar to the ones I have answered but hopefully there will be some different ones for me to answer 👏🏻😜.

1, What inspired you to start blogging?
My inspiration behind blogging came from reading some of my favourite blogs and I have a you tube channel but I’ve not filmed for awhile due to personal reasons but still wanted to reach out to the you tube community as I love talking to my subscribers so I thought what better way then to do it by creating a blog. My blog is like my channel on you tube all about beauty, make-up and fashion the only difference is their is no filming required and you don’t have to worry about your lighting and if your background is okay this is so important especially with beauty videos.
2, What is your camera do you use for photography for your blog?
I have been using my iphone 5s which does the job fine but I also have a cannon eos 600d which I was using when I was filming for you tube. I need to figure out how to use the settings  it can get a bit complicated I’m going to college in 2 weeks to study photography so that should help with that little problem.
3, Who are your favourite bloggers?
Fleur de force
Yasmin Stageman
4, What one thing could you not live life without?
This is tough I’d say both my iphone and laptop but if I had to choose between the two I would say Iphone as it keeps me in contact with my family
5, Who is your favourite fictional character?
Wonder woman was always a favourite growing up and spider man 💕.
6, What is your favourite thing to blog about?
I love blogging about reviews on make-up and beauty products and first impressions. I also like talking about fashion.
7, Favourite drug store beauty product?
Drug store beauty product is so tough for me I like most brands but I see to go to the MUA (Make-Up Academy) counter then any other especially if I want lipstick there just so cheap. How they can make them that cheap I will never know there £1.
So I would say favourite drug store product the winner is MUA Lipsticks.
8, Where would you love to travel?
The next place I want to travel to is Australia to visit my best friend who lives there who I haven’t seen in such a long time. If I could go and visit her that would just mean so much to me,
9, What is your dream job?
My dream job would be doing this or filming videos on you tube doing something I am passionate about or Photography that is another great passion of mine.
10, Top things to do to relax?
These are the things I do to relax, Write a post and just switch off from the rest of the world for half an hour or so.
Read currently I’m reading fleur de forces beauty book.
Take a nice relaxing bubble bath and soak in that for half an hour.
11, Meaning behind your blog name?
By now you will have guessed the meaning behind my blog name I love beauty and my name is Andrea I made it simple I wish I could have thought of something really unique
